Located in the stunning Bettys Bay, this container home brings to life a dream holiday destination for my client and his family. As you walk along the pavement towards the step entrance into the house you are surrounded by the lush vegetation of the area. Along the back of the house is the main house entrance with outdoor shower and rainwater tanks along with planter boxes to create a lush greenery. As you walk you into the house you are greeted by the open plan living area, dining and kitchen. There are large sliding stacking doors that lead you to the large pool deck leading to the main garden area.
Just off from the entrance door is a guest bathroom and to the side of this is the washup area for the kitchen to ensure that the entertainment side of the spaces stay clear and clean from clutter. In the kitchen area there will be a large stacker window opening to the outside 'bar' countertop for those days entertaining by the pool. To the right of the kitchen is an undercover deck space so the outdoors can be enjoyed during any type of day.
Each outdoor zone has been designed to be sheltered from the elements of this region so that each zone can be enjoyed. There is an open pool deck to enjoy sunbathing and a lap in the 6M long pool aswell as a covered section of the deck which is sheltered by one of the 6M containers. On a truly beautiful still day, one can also enjoy the roof top deck located on top of this 6M unit.
The 1 x 6M to the right of the covered deck area will be a multipurpose space for the owners and evolve as their family and needs evolve. On top of this 6M will be a roof top deck which is accessed by a staircase from the garden area to keep these spaces separate but still as one. There will be a planter box separating the staircase and main pool deck which also serves as a wind buffer and some shade for those sunny days.
The 6M to the left of the deck is the private main bedroom wing which will have a small bedroom space with built-in cupboards and then a wet room bathroom. There will be a set of sliding doors leading from the bedroom to the pool deck.
The large roof structure will serve as a protection to glazed areas, an area to secure solar panels aswell as collection of rainwater for use around the house. The property will be untouched as much as possible to allow the local forna and flora to thrive as the local vegetation is truly stunning and creates the perfect gardenscape.
